Book Halls Gap accommodation direct for my best rate
Book Halls Gap accommodation direct on this page and you deal with me directly, and I can provide the best available rates. It’s all-inclusive: Government tax, cleaning fee, firewood, laundry, and none of the surcharges or commissions that the booking sites add on top. My single exception is a pet fee for four legged friends / family that come along. Heavenly Escape sits at the more boutique end of Grampians accommodation. But the genuine aim is simple: honest, competitive pricing where the number you see is the number you pay. If you’re weighing it up, see what guests say. Then it would be a pleasure to have you book with me below.
Tariffs
$256 per night mid week (Monday–Thursday) , $354 per night (Friday & Saturday), $298 for a Sunday, $366 per night for public holidays.
Rates step up over public holidays and major Grampians events. It’s worth checking dates before you plan.
I have a standard 2 night minimum stay. Public holidays have a 3 or 4 night minimum stay. One night stays may be available for dates where there is a single night between existing bookings. I charge single nights at the weekend rate.

Policies and Notes
Security Deposit: I withdraw a $180 security deposit prior to arrival. I return it within 4 working days of departure. I am very pleased to say I have very rarely had to withhold any part of a deposit.
Check in and check out: check in is at 3:00pm and check out is at 11:00am. This is self regulatory, and I appreciate you respecting these times. My check out is an hour later than many (11:00am is much more civilised than 10am, I think). But this leaves only a small window of time between check out and check in of the next guests. I use it to coordinate cleaners and any maintenance or deliveries.
General House Rules: please respect and look after Heavenly Escape in the manner I think it deserves, and as you would your own home. Please report any damage. I appreciate it if you put the rubbish out and run the dishwasher before you leave.
Kids: whilst I set Escape up with adults in mind, babies are welcome if parents have travel cots etc. It is not so long ago that I had wee ones, with whom I travelled, myself.
Four legged friends: I do allow pets, but guests need to communicate this at the time of booking. There is a $70 pet fee additional to the listed price. Please do remember that the national park does not allow animals. Heavenly Escape is unfenced, but good for walking pets directly from the property. My simple rule is that when pets do come, the house should present to the cleaners, as much as reasonable, as if pets had not stayed. Sadly, there have been a couple of quite poor situations.
Payment & Cancellation
Payment: I take a 50% deposit to confirm a booking. I then process the balance, along with a security deposit, approximately two weeks before arrival. As noted, I return security deposits within 4 working days.
Cancellation: my ‘official’ cancellation policy. For cancellations more than a month before arrival, a 100% refund. For cancellations within a month of arrival, forfeiture of deposit. For cancellations within two weeks of staying, guests risk forfeiting the full amount of their stay. This policy is in place because a more flexible / lenient policy attracted too many speculative bookings, cancelled at short notice. However, this said: for any cancellation that might lead to a loss of deposit or full payment, should the dates rebook to an alternative guest, I refund an amount to the original guest, reflecting the amount received for the new booking. I actively seek such bookings. As the days get closer, I reduce tariffs to try to ensure some return to the original guest. Simply, I have no intention of ‘charging twice’ for any nights.
